Ti-a baskets are made by the Frafra tribe in Bolgatanga, Ghana. It's art and livelihood -- for generations, baskets have been a way for villages to earn income after farming season. This traditional bell-shaped look is one of our favorites.
Every one of our baskets is handwoven by women's co-ops. Pot basket, especially, reflects the weaver's personality as it can vary in height, width and neck size. But always, the flair.
Each basket is unique.
There are hundreds of patterns and color combinations. The basket you receive may not be the exact one pictured, so we ask that you open your sense of adventure when buying from Ti-a.
Pick a color you love and we’ll send one of our favorite styles in it. If your heart is set on a certain picture, let us know in the cart notes.
Most baskets are shipped flat.
No worries. It's easy to shape a basket by submerging in water and following these instructions.
While our baskets don't mind getting wet, if you plan to use one as a plant holder, best to put a dish or some barrier between the container and bottom of basket. From there, enjoy!
